Terms of Service and Subscription Terms

The agreement between you and the operator of Bodywise Coach: what the service is, what it is not, what you may and may not do, how paid access works, how to cancel, and how disputes are handled.

Version 1.0 · Effective 5 August 2026

Who you are contracting with

Bodywise Coach is operated by Chris Mann, trading as Bodywise Coach. Postal address: 4 Birds Garden Cottage, Stowmarket, Suffolk, IP14 6AS, United Kingdom. Enquiries: support@bodywisecoach.app.

These terms take effect on 5 August 2026 and are version 1.0. By creating an account you agree to them.

Who may use Bodywise Coach

Bodywise Coach is for adults aged 18 and over. You confirm your age when you create an account, and again during setup. If you are under 18 you may not use the service, and we will keep only the fact that an eligibility check failed and when.

You must give accurate information. Coaching decisions are calculated from what you enter, so inaccurate answers produce inaccurate guidance.

What Bodywise Coach is

  • General fitness and nutrition guidance for adults, based on published evidence and fixed rules.
  • Resistance-training plans, nutrition targets, meal planning support, logging, progress tracking and habit support.
  • A virtual coach that explains the decisions the system has made, asks focused questions and helps you apply them.

What Bodywise Coach is not — important health notice

Bodywise Coach is not medical care and is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any medical condition, injury or eating disorder, and it does not provide physiotherapy, posture correction, injury rehabilitation or clinical dietetics.

Always speak to a qualified health professional before starting or changing exercise or nutrition if you are pregnant, recovering from surgery or injury, taking medication, or living with a health condition.

If you have chest pain, severe breathlessness, fainting, sudden severe pain, or any symptom that frightens you, stop and seek urgent medical help. Do not wait for the app.

Exercise carries risk. You are responsible for your own decisions and for stopping when something feels wrong. Nothing in the service overrides advice given to you by a health professional.

Acceptable use

  • Use the service only for your own personal, non-commercial fitness and nutrition.
  • Do not share your account, and keep your password to yourself.
  • Do not attempt to gain administrator access, read other people's records, probe security controls, scrape the catalogues, or reverse-engineer the coaching rules.
  • Do not upload content that is unlawful, abusive, or that belongs to someone else.
  • Do not use the service to give coaching, medical, dietetic or clinical advice to other people.
  • We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules, or where we must do so to protect someone's safety. Where it is lawful and practical, we will tell you why and you can appeal by contacting us.

Your content and your data

You keep ownership of everything you enter: your answers, logs, notes, measurements and files. You give us permission to store and process that content only so we can run the service for you, keep you safe, and support your account.

We do not sell your data, and we never use health, nutrition, training, body-composition, mood, behavioural or coach-conversation information to target advertising.

Plans, prices and what is never paywalled

  • There is a free plan and a paid plan. Prices, billing frequency and taxes are shown clearly before you pay.
  • Paid access renews automatically for the same period unless you cancel before the renewal date.
  • Safety information, privacy controls, access to your own data, data export and account deletion are never restricted by your plan.
  • If your paid access ends, your existing records are kept, not deleted. Paid features simply stop being available.

Your right to cancel and your right to change your mind

You can cancel paid access at any time in the app under Account, then Privacy and data. Cancelling stops the next payment; access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for.

If you are a consumer, you have 14 days from starting paid access to change your mind and receive a refund. Because Bodywise Coach is digital content supplied immediately, we may deduct a fair amount for the part of the period you have already used, and you lose the right to withdraw once the service has been fully performed at your request. To withdraw, tell us at support@bodywisecoach.app within 14 days — a clear statement is enough, and no reason is needed.

Nothing in these terms removes your statutory rights, including your right to a service supplied with reasonable care and skill and to a remedy where it is not.

Availability and changes to the service

We aim to keep Bodywise Coach available and accurate, but we cannot promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Planned maintenance may make it briefly unavailable.

We improve the coaching rules, catalogues and interface over time. We will not remove a paid feature you rely on without telling you in advance. If a change materially reduces what you have paid for, you may cancel and ask for a proportionate refund.

If we change these terms we will tell you in the app and by email before the change applies. Continuing to use the service after that date means you accept the new version. Previous versions of the terms and privacy notice are available from us on request.

Our responsibility to you

We are responsible for loss we cause you by failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, for loss caused by your giving us inaccurate information, or for business losses.

We do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Ending your account

You can close your account at any time from Account, then Privacy and data. Closing your account deletes your personal records, apart from the small amount of information we must keep by law, and cannot be undone.

We may end this agreement if you seriously break these terms, if we are required to by law, or if we stop offering the service — in which case we will give you notice and a way to export your data.

Complaints and law

If something goes wrong, contact support@bodywisecoach.app. We aim to acknowledge within five working days and to resolve matters within 30 days, telling you if it will take longer and why.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts there have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere, you keep the protection of the consumer law of your own country.

For data-protection complaints you can also contact Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), United Kingdom, or your own national data-protection authority.
