Cookie and Storage Technologies Policy
What Bodywise stores or accesses on your browser/device and how optional analytics choices work.
Version 2.0 · Effective 3 September 2026
Why this policy covers more than cookies
Bodywise uses browser and device technologies that can store information or read information previously stored on a device.
These may include cookies, local storage, session storage, authentication/session technology and other application storage.
Essential storage
Essential technologies are used where required to:
- keep you signed in;
- protect account/security processes;
- remember your privacy choices;
- maintain necessary application state;
- preserve work that has not yet synchronised;
- complete a payment process that you chose to start.
Essential storage is not advertising
Essential technologies are not used merely to create an advertising profile.
Functional storage
Where applicable, optional functional storage may remember preferences such as appearance or non-essential interface choices.
Where consent is required, it is not activated before the relevant choice.
Analytics
Optional analytics is not activated before a valid analytics choice where consent is required.
Bodywise may use first-party measurement and, where configured, Google Analytics 4.
Bodywise attempts to minimise analytics information and does not intentionally send health values or free-text health/Coach content as analytics properties.
Analytics retention can include provider-controlled settings. Where a provider controls the period, Bodywise does not state an exact duration unless that configuration has been verified.
Withdrawal
You may change your privacy choices later.
Withdrawing analytics consent stops future optional analytics under Bodywise's control and removes optional local values where the implemented technology supports removal.
It does not necessarily erase information that an external provider already processed lawfully before withdrawal.
Advertising
Advertising is currently OFF.
No advertising technology should become active merely because advertising code exists in the project.
If advertising is activated in a later release, Bodywise must first review applicable consent, privacy and advertising requirements.
Bodywise does not permit health, PAR-Q, injury, nutrition, DEXA, Coach, workout, progress, mood, stress or similar sensitive Bodywise information to be used to target advertising.
Meta
Meta Pixel is not currently used on Bodywise where the current implementation remains as audited.
Paddle website checkout
If you choose to purchase through the Bodywise website, Paddle's checkout may use technologies necessary to operate the checkout you initiated.
Those technologies are governed by Paddle's own applicable terms and privacy information.
Apple purchases
Native Apple App Store purchases do not use Paddle's website checkout.
Apple handles the App Store purchase through its own platform.
Clearing storage
You can clear cookies/site storage through your browser or device controls.
Clearing essential authentication/session storage may sign you out or remove unsynchronised local information.
